Located in the Albergheria district of Palermo, and therefore, in the heart of the city’s Arab-Norman path, this bright and welcoming property is situated on the 2nd floor of a small building (without an elevator, but with only two flights of stairs). It owes its name to the northern conquerors who, as early as 1166, referred to the neighborhood it belongs to as “Ideisini.”

Thanks to its excellent location, you can easily reach some of the city’s most important monuments on foot, such as the Norman Palace with the magnificent Palatine Chapel (approximately 4 minutes away), the splendid Palermo Cathedral (about 7 minutes from the property*), or the exotic church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti (reachable in about 5 minutes). Afterward, you can stroll through the scents and spices of the ancient open-air Ballarò market, concluding the tour with a visit to the San Nicolò tower, where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the rooftops and domes of Palermo.

In the evening, Ideisini’s Apartment will allow you to prepare and relax before joining the city’s nightlife in one of the numerous venues on Via Maqueda (a historic city artery, now with high tourist intensity), located just a few steps from the accommodation.

Master bedroom

Larger than the second bedroom, this room features a standard double bed with two bedside tables, a convenient open wardrobe, and a small balcony overlooking the main street (Porta di Castro Street), accessible through French doors with a mosquito net.

Kitchen

Equipped with everything needed to try your hand at preparing a Sicilian recipe, the kitchen, also with a window fitted with a mosquito net, boasts brand-new equipment such as induction cookers, fridge, oven, microwave, coffee machine (pods), and kettle.

2nd Bedroom

Smaller in size but not in comfort, this room, equipped with a window with a mosquito net, features a brand-new bunk bed and, of course, an open wardrobe for storing essential personal belongings.

Living room

Located at the entrance of the property, this space, thanks to the spacious table, comfortable sofa – convertible into a bed for one person – and the 32″ smart TV, will undoubtedly be the focal point for your moments of relaxation and conviviality with family or friends.

Bathroom

Completely renovated and very welcoming, the space, with a window and its accompanying mosquito net, will allow guests to prepare for their next destination in total relaxation and comfort. Inside, you’ll also find a washing machine, facilitating guests during longer stays.

How to reach us

  • From Palermo Airport, you can reach the apartment via a regional train, with a stop at Palazzo Reale – Orleans Station. This stop is located 0.5 km away on foot (approximately 7 minutes);
  • From Palermo Central Train Station, you can take the Orange Historic Center shuttle with a stop at Cadorna. The stop is located about 5 minutes on foot from the property;
  • If you are traveling by car, please note that the property is located in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). Therefore, you need to pay attention to the entrances and hours. Access by car to the ZTL is allowed only with the purchase of a special pass. Public parking outside the ZTL is regulated by white lines (free) and blue lines (paid);
